The Room Told Us Everything - The Sisterhood Social Pilot Event

February 19th 2026

Last night we held the very first Sisterhood Social gathering in Morrinsville.

It was never meant to be a big launch. It was meant to be a test. A room. A feeling. A moment to observe what would happen if we simply brought women together with intention and allowed connection to unfold.

Nearly fifty women arrived, some excited, some unsure, some quietly brave. A few admitted at the door that they nearly did not come. That inner dialogue we all know well. Should I go? Will it feel awkward? What if I do not know anyone?

And yet they came.

That small act of showing up is exactly what Sisterhood is built on. Courage does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like walking into a room anyway.

Within minutes, the energy shifted. Conversations through quick fire icebreaker frameworks started easily. People moved closer. Chairs turned inward. Laughter carried across the room. Women who had never met found common ground surprisingly quickly, whether through shared life stage, shared interests, or simply shared curiosity.

There was no over structuring. Just thoughtful prompts, a welcoming space, and women willing to engage.

The feedback was immediate and honest.

“It felt easier than I expected.”

“I met someone I would never normally cross paths with.”

“It felt safe.”

“I stayed longer than I planned.”

“Can we do these monthly?”

That last comment stayed with me.

Because that told us more than any data could.

Sisterhood Social is a women only digital friendship platform for women 45 years and over, but last night reinforced something important. The technology is simply the structure. The algorithms we are activating in the coming weeks are the framework. The real magic happens when women are brought together intentionally in a room and given permission to connect.

The success of the evening was not in what we said. It was in what the women did. They leaned in. They exchanged numbers. They made plans for coffee. They lingered.

There was a sense of relief in the room. Relief that it was not awkward. Relief that conversation could still flow easily. Relief that connection at this stage of life is not only possible, but powerful.

It confirmed something we deeply believe.

Women at this stage of life are not shrinking. They are not winding down. They are still expanding. Still curious. Still open to new circles and new possibilities.

Last night was proof of concept in the most human way.

And this is only the beginning.
