STRETTON GROUP INTRODUCES CURATE @ 148 Home of New Zealand’s First Fashion and Social Impact Museum in Morrinsville

In June 2025, Stretton Group opened Curate at 148, a
bold new gallery space housed within the Stretton Clothing head office in Morrinsville.
More than just a gallery, Curate at 148  will mark the beginning of something extraordinary: New Zealand’s very first fashion and social impact museum and café.

This space has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the legacy of New Zealand fashion through the lens of the Annah Stretton brand. Spanning over three decades of design, creativity, social and cultural commentary, the museum will take visitors on a visual journey through the collections and
imagery that has shaped both my career, social contribution and the wardrobes
of thousands of women across the country. From the early rural inspirations to our most socially infused pieces, each collection reflects the evolution.

To date Curate @148 has held two exhibitions

 I Am Woman

 RAW Beauty

  Exhibitions will change monthly.

Curate at 148 is a destination for locals and visitors alike and joins a thriving arts community and the infamous heard of cow statues that are well established and loved in the town. At Curate 148, we aim to inspire, engage, and showcase the power of clothing and imagery as both art and social commentary. As part of our wider commitment to community, creativity, and culture, we are grateful for the ongoing support of our customers, visitors and collaborators, in the town we’re proud to call home.
