Changing from a life of crime to a life of promise
The RAW Charity is a social enterprise set up by Annah Stretton in 2014 to help female offenders successfully transition from a life of crime to a life of promise through education, employment and intensive peer support. Working alongside her Sister Rebecca, who has had 25 years working in mental health, The RAW Programme has been hailed by the NZ Department of Corrections as a breakthrough rehabilitation model with an unparalleled record of success.

The RAW Truth
The RAW Truth is the story of two sisters – Annah Stretton and Rebecca Skilton – who chose to immerse themselves in the lives of a group of women who came from a very different world to their own; a world filled with hardship, abuse, crime, under-education and unemployment. They dared to believe that a life of crime could become a life of promise with right amount of support and heart and set up a charity called RAW to make that happen.
This book charts their journey, and those of the women who chose to join them, and serves as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of the human spirit, and the ability to defy the odds when hope walks into the room.
Stand up, be healthy, and blossom
Today New Zealand ranks as one of the western world’s most overweight countries. Traditional health messages have simply not reached or gained traction with those needing to prioritise their health the most. To break through the apathy and move people away from all the boom to bust dieting and exercise fads that never bring about lasting change, Annah Stretton established a wellness venture called Kia Puāwai.
The Kia Puāwai approach is based around three core principles - Nutrition, Movement and Mind Management - and with a motto of ‘gain health, not weight’ it assists people with making small edits to their lifestyle to bring about incremental but lasting improvements in their wellness.

Transforming the effectiveness of Waikato's charitable and not-for-profit sector
Today there are over 110,000 charities and not-for-profits in New Zealand that collectively contribute over $9 billion to the economy. Their good work positively affects the lives of millions in our community but imagine how much more these charities and not-for-profits could do if they had a bit more help? The Good Collective is a team of people coming together to supercharge the impact that charities and not-for-profits can have within our community through the selection, provision and support of essential business services.
