Flattering and Fabulous. Dressing Curves with Confidence
For me, dressing for a curvy figure( one that we call 'lovely' ) is all about choosing pieces that not only flatter but also make you feel incredible, comfortable, confident, and totally yourself. Fashion should never be about hiding away. It should empower and celebrate everybody.
I always start with styles that bring balance. The Clowning Around and Lucy blouses are perfect examples. Their V necklines and soft ruffles around the shoulders and necklines naturally draw the eye up, helping to balance out a curvier lower half. These are the kinds of details that really work for our 'lovely' shape.
Now let’s talk layers. A great jacket can completely pull a look together. Many of our curvy women reach for the Ady Jacket. The curved hem and gentle waist shaping make it a real go-to. Or the Winn Eva Jacket, if they want something a bit longer with that beautiful stretch that moves with them. Pair either with our Madison Pant, a waist-cinching wide-leg beauty that smooths the hip line and gives you that polished, elongated silhouette.
When it comes to dresses, it’s all about clever shaping. The Jude Jem dress is a stunner. Cross front, super flattering, and the sleeve length is just right for adding length to the arms. Then there’s the Magic dresses, with their V necks and soft gathering through the waist and hips present in their many tiers, so they skim in all the right places without clinging.
If you’re in the mood to bring a little drama, go straight for the Night Moves dress. It has a darker base and the batwing sleeves to create beautiful movement. I love wearing the neckline untied, turning it into a V and sometimes adding a belt for extra waist definition. It’s subtle but so effective.
And for those days when I really want to turn heads, it’s the Gina Jude or the Matilda Dress. These are dresses that come with personality. Gorgeous layered textures and full flared skirts that move like a dream. They’re feminine, flattering, and just so much fun to wear.
At the end of the day, what I love most is offering clothes that love your shape right back. Because great fashion isn’t about size. It’s about finding pieces that make you feel fabulous every time you put them on.
