I work at Waikato Hospital. I'm the tea lady who delivers your meals and makes your drinks. As an essential worker I worked through lockdown, even though I have type 2 diabetes with a compromised immune system. Today as I was collecting dirty dishes I noticed a woman holding a sick baby. She had been there since breakfast, it was now way after 1.30pm. I asked her if she would like me to make her a hot drink and get her some sandwiches . She replied yes. This is what I do everyday, I try to be kind and caring and respectful, not always convenient in a busy working environment, but that's what I do.
