How long have you worked for Stretton Clothing?
2018 to 2022.

What first attracted you to work at Annah Stretton?
Well, in about 2015 I worked for a cosmetics company called Phoenix Cosmetics which was at the time located in the Christchurch Annah Stretton store. That was my first introduction to Annah Stretton clothing and it was love at first sight! I involved myself in the clothing as much as I could!

What do you love most about your job?
So much, I work with wonderful people who I admire and love to learn from! The shop is BEAUTIFUL - I get to go to work and be surrounded by gorgeousness everyday. And of course, the customers, we're so fortunate to get some truly incredible women coming to our store to be dressed. My favourite is when I suggest something to someone and they're hesitant ("it's not my style", "it won't look right on me", "that neckline isn't what I wanted") but they try it on and fall in LOVE and look gorgeous! It's the best feeling!

What’s the funniest /strangest experience you’ve had while working here?
I do makeup and brows by trade and I had just (I mean that day) booked a bride in for her wedding makeup and I kid you not, who should walk in that door less than an hour later? The bride I just booked looking for a wedding dress! She had no clue I worked at Annah Stretton and was as surprised to see me as I was to see her! It was a very cool experience to be so involved in helping the bride choose her wedding dress and then consequently dressing her on the day AND doing her makeup to boot!

What do you like to do outside of work?
I love being creative but also never stick to one hobby for extended periods of time, I might go through a phase where I'm really into my Calligraphy and spend every spare moment doing that, wreath making was another recent one for me, I could spend hours putting together a wreath! I always have a creative outlet but who knows what that'll be in a month's time!

If you weren’t working at Annah Stretton what would you most like to do?
Transforming faces through brows and makeup!

What is something that most people would be surprised to know about you?
I'm actually naturally a pretty good runner, I've done the City to Surf 14km twice, with not much training and got pretty good times! Granted that was nearly a decade ago... guess I'm due to do it again soon!
