Warehouse Manager – Brenna - HQ

How long have you been working for Annah Stretton?
Since 2019 - I was a wee 19-year-old when I first started!

What made me want to work for Annah Stretton?
I had just come home from a gap year in Australia, didn't really know what I was doing, thought the role looked interesting but wow did it grow into something quite big for me.

What do you love most about your job?
100% the people. The connections I get to make and grow with our lovely customers, our retail and HQ team and everyone in between. I'm very much a people person and luckily get to travel around to our stores quite often too - I love visiting the team, getting into the stores and being hands on with them, it keeps those relationships strong and more personal than just through a computer screen or over the phone!

What have you learned in your time with the company?
I could have never learnt as much as I have in the last 3 years from Annah and Sami than from anyone or anywhere else, the experience and knowledge I've gained is unreal. The biggest growth period for me would have been during our first big set of mask production, that was challenging for sure and I built up a thick skin taking some of those phone calls, definitely needed a few pep talks from Annah over that time.

What is the best thing about working in fashion?
It’s cool to be able to see the complete process of how a garment comes together right from start to finish. I think it really does open up your fashion senses to things you’d never look at, and also getting to share that with people and share some really special moments for really special occasions, that’s a winner.

What motivates and inspires you at work?
We’re a close-knit team at HQ, and if you’re having a bad day – you know everyone around you is there to pick you up. No question is a silly question and there are SO many opportunities to learn. I’m grateful to have Annah who is pretty much open to just about anything I want to do in this space, and very supportive.

What role does the job play in your life?
It's a big part of it, I've developed a lot of close connections with our team, and I'm proud and excited to talk to people about what I do.

What opportunities do I see in the future for my career?
I have always loved event management and found that space super rewarding, so I'd love to continue with that one day - I get a bit of a taste for it putting together our Women's lifestyle expo's, Fielday's and other events.
